We are committed to giving visitors the best possible experience when they visit The Story Museum.

Wheelchair and Lift Access

All of our spaces, including our galleries, café and gift and book shop, are fully accessible for wheelchair users. There are three lifts offering access to all floors.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are located on the ground and first floor of the building, with one space offering changing facilities and a shower.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome.

Disabled persons showing both parts of the Blue Badge may park for free in any of the on-street parking spaces, but standard charges will apply in the off-street car parks. Refer to the Blue Badge Scheme booklet for information on parking restrictions in loading bays.

  • Park and Ride – Places available adjacent to bus stops. All Park & Ride buses have the wheelchair accessible ‘kneeling step’ with fold-down ramp.
  • Westgate Multi-Storey – Places available on level 4 adjacent to the shopping level.
  • On-Street – Special bays are marked – there are 90 Disabled Parking Bays throughout the city.
