There’s nothing more spooky than a museum at night, and nowhere more crammed with magic than The Story Museum! This Halloween, don an outfit, grab a glass of poltergeist punch and join us at The Story Museum for a Halloween unlike any other. Explore our most unusual museum at night, take part in themed activities and much more!
Throughout the night, the Museum will be lit up with ghoulish stories from across time:

The Whispering Wood Grimms Stories*

Award-winning theatre company, Creation, will be whipping up some ghoulish Grimm tales in the mysterious Whispering Wood. Join them for dark tales of weird disappearances and wild wizardry.
The Magic Common Room: Haunted Landscapes Talk

Travel through haunted landscapes of American literature to explore stories of ghostly children in fascinating short talks with Professor María del Pilar Blanco and discover how ghosts and ghost stories connect different cultures.

We all have ancestors who practised some form of 'magic'.
From home-made amulets, to the trappings of sorcery, the handiwork they've left behind is all around us. We just need to remember how to see it... Holly Brewer invites us to meet with some 'old friends' from the world of magical objects. Many of these pieces can be (respectfully) handled and examined by visitors. They come as ambassadors from magical traditions near & far, to remind us that our ancestral magic is still here,
