For visitors who are D/deaf, deafened or hard of hearing attending our events

If you are coming to an event in the Woodshed please contact us to discuss your requirements so we can find a solution that best matches your needs and is compatible with the event format. For example, this could involve using an induction loop, general amplification or seating arrangements. Please email boxoffice@storymuseum.org.uk, or call 01865 807600.

For visitors who are blind and partially sighted

The Story Museum welcomes Guide dogs and registered assistance dogs.

The Whispering Wood celebrates oral storytelling. There are six audio recordings of traditional oral stories and short storytelling sessions by our Story Guides throughout the day.

The Enchanted Library celebrates story on page, stage and screen. This immersive gallery features a combination of interactives using audio and video in places. We are unable to provide audio descriptive tours of the Enchanted Library but hope to do so in the future.

There are some spaces in the Museum that are dark or have dim lighting – please contact us or notify a member of staff if you are concerned.

The main lift has audio announcements.
