Story
An epic fantasy story inspired by Celtic myths and stories. Sláine Mac Roth is a young barbarian who fights for the Earth goddess with his axe called Brainbiter and his power of warp spasm. This power lets him change into a monstrous fighting form.
Why we chose it
The dramatic art style and exciting storytelling has left its legacy on the history of British comics.
Where it came from
Story elements and many characters come from Celtic myth, especially the Cúchullain, and the Conan the Barbarian comics.
Where it went next
Other artists and writers have continued writing Slaine’s adventures in comics and graphic novels.
