George, the mouse, moves into the cave next door to a fearsome dragon - with unusual consequences.

Story

In a dark cave in the deepest valley of a distant mountain range lives a ferocious dragon. With his fiery breath and mighty strength, the dragon terrorises armies, destroys castles, and flattens forests. However, when the dragon meets his new neighbour, George, his fearlessness is put to the test…

Why we chose it

An imaginative and engaging take on traditional dragon stories with some beautiful details in the illustrations – look out for the furniture left behind by the bats. George and the Dragon was a favourite with visitors to our Pumpkin story tent.

Where it came from

In this story, English author and illustrator, Christopher Wormell, puts a twist into the ancient legend of St. George and the Dragon. In the legend, St. George rescues a princess and countless villagers from a ferocious dragon.

Where it went next
